I've heard good things about medical tourism here. Are the standards high enough for something like dental cleaning or minor procedures?

Private hospitals in Colombo (Nawaloka, Asiri, Lanka Hospitals) have excellent standards and many doctors trained in the UK, US, or Australia. Dental clinics in Colombo and Kandy are modern and affordable. Many tourists combine a holiday with dental work or check-ups. Always choose a reputable private facility and check reviews. It's significantly cheaper than Europe or Australia with comparable quality.

For anything beyond basic check-up or cleaning, get a proper consultation and second opinion. The facilities are good but aftercare while traveling needs planning.

Will stick to a dental cleaning at a recommended private clinic if needed. Good to know it's an option.
