I am traveling solo soon. Is Sri Lanka generally safe for tourists and what common scams should I watch out for.

Sri Lanka is highly regarded as very safe for solo female travelers. Violent crime against tourists is extremely rare. Your main concern should just be typical travel awareness, like negotiating tuk tuk fares in advance to avoid being overcharged.
