Yes, the Lotus Pond is definitely worth a quick stop. It is carved beautifully in the shape of a full blown lotus flower with descending concentric steps.

It is located right on the path just before the impressive Thivanka Image House at the far end of the ruins, so it takes almost no extra effort to stop and admire the medieval engineering.

While it is small, the intricate geometry and preservation of the stone carved petals make it one of the most unique and photogenic spots in the entire archaeological park.
