We have a 4am van Colombo toward Jaffna. Heat Bulletin 01 Caution names the North (and NC, East, Monaragala) and holds for 2 Sep too. Partner wants to cancel the whole peninsula. I want to go and just not play hero at noon. 1 Sep, packing at 1am.

Go. Caution is not a shutdown. It is water, shade, and do not walk the Jaffna fort wall at 13:00 for a photo. Travel the A9 in the cool, rest midday, walk evenings. Bulletin holds tomorrow as well, so the same rules on 2 Sep. I will not invent a northern curfew. Hat, electrolytes, no pride.

We did Jaffna in August heat without a bulletin. Same advice. Indoor lunch. Fine.
