Jungle Beach hill after leftover drip — short tuk or walk if we have grip, day bags only — last night of a south-and-hill week
Path looks like a mud chute from last night. Driver wants a number that feels like a tour. 20 Aug, still dripping off the trees. ordinary bags. Not suitcases.

Pay a short hop if the path is slick and you have a kid. Walk if you have shoes with grip and the rain has stopped. Do not pay a tour number for a ten-minute hill. Agree the fare before you sit. Jungle Beach is a cove, not a secret. The path is public.
Kids: tuk. Pride bargains twenty minutes in the drizzle and arrives in a mood.
Ask two drivers. The first number is a test. If it is still raining, sit Unawatuna bay. Jungle Beach is the same water with a hill.
We paid the silly last-bit. Fine. Shoes stayed clean. Pride can keep the mud.
