Even during the peak calm season the small fiberglass boats used for dolphin watching move incredibly fast across open ocean swells to locate the pods. The ride can be quite jarring and bouncy.

If your partner is highly prone to severe sea sickness they absolutely must take a strong motion sickness tablet like Avomine at least an hour before boarding the boat. Sitting at the very back near the engine rather than bouncing at the front bow drastically reduces the nauseating physical impact.
