Keep the kids awake for the best part when we already feel mid-parade-deep. Kindness or just delaying a hotel crash with no programme cue. Not kids asking is it almost over, and not hotel fireworks-soon chat.

Without a programme cue you are guessing. If they are already fading, a calm hotel live beats forcing a crash on the kerb. Kindness is reading their bodies, not promising a mythical best part that may already have passed your curb.

There is no honest traveler rule that the best part is still ahead after two hours.
