Kid is out cold on my shoulder - carry him through this leftover crowd or sit it out

He fought the whips, ate the last biscuit, and is now a dead weight. Crowd is moving but it is still shoulders, not a pavement. Hotel is eight minutes on a normal night. Do we carry him through this or sit on this step until it is actually thin. I cannot see my own feet.

Sit until you can see your feet, then go perpendicular off the lake, not along it. An asleep child in a moving pack is how families get separated and how a small head meets an elbow. One adult in front, one behind, no stopping in the roadway to adjust the sling.

We waited twelve minutes on a shop step last night and the walk was boring instead of scary. Worth the sit.
