We are leaving the curb. Third Randoli is still occupying the streets after the 6:53 PM start. Kids and gran need the hotel. Lake loop around the occupied grid, or ask a marshal for a gap.

Lake loop. A marshal gap through a moving line is how you end up in the crush with an elder. Keep them on the outer pavement.

We took the lake loop with gran. Longer, but she never had to squeeze a tape line.

If a marshal actually waves you through a quiet gap, take it. Do not invent a cut across the moving lane.
