Petrol stations (Ceypetco, Shell, Lanka IOC) along main routes have decent bathrooms (100-500m off main road). Restaurants + hotels along main routes also stop-friendly. Rural sections may have 30+ km without options — plan ahead.

Practical: (1) toilet stop before start of every leg. (2) potty seat for younger kids on long routes. (3) hand sanitizer + tissue always. (4) girls: 'squatty potty' facilities common in rural, prep kids ahead. Kids 4+ can hold usually 90-120 min between stops. Emergency: any restaurant/hotel welcomes bathroom emergency.
