Kids stepped in a puddle at the far-end stretch. Curb still wet from this afternoon. Buy cheap slippers two streets back, or stay in the wet shoes.

One adult, cheap rubber slippers from the first lit shop, then back. Wet foam shoes on a shiny curb are a slip for the rest of the pass.

We bought two pairs for a few hundred rupees and put the wet shoes in a bag. Kids lasted.

If the puddle is only the edge, shift them onto the drier paint and stay. A shop run is for soaked insides, not a splash.
