Boys: long trousers + button-down shirt, sometimes with jacket. Girls: dress (knee-length or longer), covered shoulders, comfortable shoes. Avoid loud colors. Sri Lankan kids often dressed formally at events — your kids fit in naturally.

Practical: light cotton/linen fabrics for tropical heat. Bring formal shoes but be prepared to slip off at homes/temples. Kids will be treated warmly regardless of exact outfit. Sri Lankan aunties will fuss over foreign kids at events — expect and enjoy.
