Kids are hungry and we are already on a remaining stretch. Peel one adult to a still-open side street for rice, or all walk back to the hotel dinner.

One adult, two streets back, a small rice plate, then rejoin. The whole family leaving now is how you miss the rest of the line.

We bought a packed rice two streets off and ate standing behind the crowd. Kids lasted another half hour.

If they are past hungry and into a melt, hotel dinner. A side street with a crying child next to drums is not a meal.
