Kids past bedtime are asking for dessert sellers that seem to have vanished. Hotel dessert when we peel, or skip sugar tonight. Not ice-cream carts appearing late, and not sugar mid-parade short-eats.

Hotel dessert after a calm peel is the kinder answer — chasing vanished carts through a late crush with tired kids ends badly. Skip sugar only if they will sleep faster without it; you know your kids.
