Standard childhood vaccinations should be up to date (MMR, DTaP, polio, hep B). Special considerations for Sri Lanka: (1) hepatitis A (recommended, especially for kids over 1). (2) typhoid (if extended stay or rural). (3) Japanese encephalitis (recommended for rural stays >1 month). (4) rabies pre-exposure (if kids will be with animals).

NOT required by Sri Lanka entry: no vaccine mandate. But recommendations for individual health remain. See travel medicine physician 4-6 weeks pre-trip. Bring vaccination records in case of accident/injury. Some vaccines require multiple doses over weeks.
