Kids want a swim during this wet afternoon. Ten minutes between showers, or skip so they are not soaked before 6:53.

Skip the pool; wet hair and a damp towel fight you when you dress, and a short shower at the stand is enough water for one day.

If they must get wet, a basin wash in the room is easier to dry than pool water in the hair.

We let them dangle feet at the shallow end for five minutes and pulled them out. A real swim would have wrecked the evening.
