Kitesurfing in July: Mannar or Kalpitiya?
I am an advanced kitesurfer. I know Kalpitiya is the famous spot, but is Adams Bridge in Mannar better for strong, uncrowded wind in July?

Mannar is the ultimate frontier for kitesurfing right now. The wind funnels through the Adams Bridge sandbanks making it insanely strong and consistent in July (20-25+ knots). Best of all, you will have the entire 16km sandbank to yourself, whereas Kalpitiya lagoon gets packed like a highway.
Just be aware that Mannar is very remote. There are only one or two kite camps (like Vayu Resort). If you want nightlife, cafes, and socializing, Kalpitiya wins hands down. Mannar is pure, hardcore kiting and sleeping.
Hardcore kiting and sleeping is my exact vibe. Mannar it is!
