Nanu Oya is the rail town; Nuwara Eliya is a further hop. Jumpers, extra blanket, seated later. Nine Arches, tracks and a child who runs In Knuckles, the stand in Knuckles, water before you sit, agree a number if there is no meter. Leave a margin for the walk.

We dumped bags at Nanu Oya thinking it was Nuwara Eliya. It is not. Knuckles: jumper, then the hop. Meeting pin in writing, not a voice note you cannot hear.

Extra blanket at the desk is ordinary. Observation-car rumours do not beat a reserved ordinary seat. Mist is a wall; skip the viewpoint tax. Call the desk before you guess a late checkout.
