Kudumbigala Monastery (in Kumana National Park buffer, southeast) is a 2000+ year old forest meditation complex — hundreds of natural rock caves used by hermits, a small summit stupa, and jungle atmosphere. Reached via 4WD/tuk-tuk track from Panama village. Half-day visit possible.

Genuine spiritual sanctuary — a few resident monks still meditate here. Extremely respectful visitor conduct expected: silence, no shoes, no photography of monks without permission, cover shoulders and knees. Not for casual tourists — for those who value quiet ancient sites.
