27 Aug, Kundasale, before breakfast. Two bags, last night. Desk will hold them if we ask. Need a local, not a brochure. If the festival continues to 28th Diya/Dahawal, do not pack us like it ends on the kerb tonight.

Leave bags at the desk. Hauling a suitcase into a crowd is how you meet elbows. Daypack and water. Pavement is pavement, not a reserved street. Read the Maligawa board, not a desk.

Pride bargains twenty minutes in the drizzle and arrives in a mood. Kundasale was the pin.

Agree the fare before you sit. On 'leave bags at the desk or haul suitcases onto the kerb' — board, not desk.

We arrived early and sat low. Kundasale was the pin.
