One short covered-cafe half loop is enough; a full wet circuit before another night stand is how blisters start.

We walked ten minutes, sat under a cafe awning, and turned back; the far bank was already puddled and our only dry shoes would not have survived it.

If kids need air, walk the shop side and duck in when the burst thickens; skip the exposed far bank.
