S7 lands at Bandaranaike at 1:40 p.m. We wanted Hikkaduwa. Push south the same afternoon, or sleep Colombo and go in the morning.

Same afternoon only if bags and a van are ready. You arrive late, not for a swim the minute you land. A Colombo night is kinder with kids. Do not invent a free hotel shuttle from CMB.

We would sleep Colombo after ten hours. Hikkaduwa is still there in the morning.
