Proper cobblers and leather-treatment counters exist in the older shopping streets - ask for conditioning and stitching, not just shine.

Hotel door polish will not save soaked leather. Budget a real shop visit and overnight drying stuffed with paper.

If time is tight, buy cheap replacements for the flight and leave the repair for a longer stay. Soaked shoes rarely bounce in one afternoon.
