20 Aug, east. Tennekumbura. Leftover SW from the last few days. Kid already in the shallows. Desk talking like a brochure.

Tennekumbura leftover SW is ordinary in August. Stay where you can stand. No inflatables past the first break. The bar does not write the flags. I will not invent a marine Amber as a 20 Aug fact.

We kept the kid knee-deep and sat. Fine. The desk wanted a second trip more than a safe bay.
