Sky looks only partly cloudy. Worth packing a light rain shell from the hotel for the First Randoli wait, or skip it. Not an adult plastic poncho buy after 5 and not umbrella-versus-shell morning gear.

A thin packable shell from the hotel is cheap insurance for a long wait even when the sky looks only partly cloudy. Skip a bulky buy on the street if you already have something light.

Keep it in the daypack so you are not waving plastic when the cortege is close.

If the pack is already full, a compact shell still beats wet shoulders for hours.
