Little Adam's Peak main path is a regular dawn parade — solo is common if you start when other walkers start, stick to the obvious track, and keep phone/wallet zipped. Stray dogs usually want space or a snack refusal, not a fight; do not run, do not feed. Robbery stories exist island-wide; they are not the default on this busy hill, but dangling a phone on a selfie stick in fog is how you invite trouble. Ella Rock is a longer, easier-to-misroute hike — more reason to go with others. Café meetups work. Headlamp, water, worn-in shoes. If the path is empty and it feels wrong, turn around and wait for company.
