August. Dawn mud or 3pm heat. We will do it once.

3pm heat on a short hill is sweat. Dawn mud is slip. I would take 4:30pm if the day had leftover rain at dawn. If the path is dry, morning is kinder light. Heat is not a reason to invent a closure. Water, hat, turn around if the kid is done.

Dawn mud. Should have waited. View was still a view through trees.
