Shops waving poles. Short hill. Mud possible. Buy, or our shoes are enough.

Shoes with grip are the purchase. Poles help in mud if knees are old. For a short hill with ordinary knees, poles are optional theatre. Borrow if the guesthouse has a pair. Do not buy a kit for one climb.
