Local brands of beer: Lion Stout vs Lion Lager?

I want to try the local beer. Is the Lion Stout any good, or should I stick to the standard Lager?

Lion Lager is the standard, easy-drinking tropical pilsner. BUT Lion Stout is a world-class, 8.8% ABV dark beer with heavy notes of chocolate and espresso. It was famously praised by beer hunter Michael Jackson. Highly recommend the stout!

You can also find Tiger Beer locally brewed under license, but Lion is the classic, historic Sri Lankan choice.

The stout is incredibly strong and heavy for a hot day at the beach. Save the stout for the cool evenings in Ella or Nuwara Eliya. Drink the cold lager on the sand.
