Universal solo traveler experience. Coping: (1) Video call family/friends every 2-3 days, not daily. (2) Join group activities that build shared memory. (3) Volunteer 2-3 days at a legit NGO — deep connections. (4) Journal to process emotions. (5) Learn a language phrase daily. (6) Prioritize one deep conversation over many shallow ones.

When to switch things up: if you've been solo for 3+ weeks, book a hostel over a private room, take a group tour, or briefly join up with new friends for a leg. Solo travel is beautiful but community keeps it sustainable.
