Planning a long indoor lunch and a rest window before we walk out for the 6:53 PM Third Randoli. How long should that window be so we are rested, not rushing.

Eat by mid-afternoon, rest with phones away, then a light snack before you dress; rushing from a late lunch to the curb is how kids melt.

We treat the rest as lying down with a book, not a real nap, so nobody is groggy at dusk; ninety minutes after a proper lunch is plenty for us.

Two quiet hours on the beds is enough for most families; do not turn the rest into a second full sleep unless they are small.
