Lunugamvehera National Park is a separate park adjoining Yala Block 5, offering similar landscape but with a large reservoir (Lunugamvehera Tank) attracting elephants and water birds. Lower leopard density than Yala Blocks 1-2 but sloth bear, elephant, jackal, and superb birdlife.

Half-day safari from Tissamaharama base. Very quiet — often you're one of 1-2 jeeps in the park. Best for visitors who want wilderness feel without Yala Block 1 crowds. Consider a 2-park combo day: Bundala morning (birds), Lunugamvehera afternoon.
