Evening prayer may overlap the 6:44 PM First Randoli start. Is there a practical mosque near the route for Maghrib without losing the whole parade, or should we pray then join later for the tusker.

Pray first if that is your priority — the tusker and relic section come later in the order after the 6:44 PM start, so joining mid-cortege is often still workable if you know your re-entry street.
