9.30, still on the Queen's side. Procession looked home. Then bells. Partner wants to walk toward the gate "in case there is more." Visiting hours on the FAQ were 8.00. Is this leftover ritual or a second act we are about to miss.

The relic casket going in is the street ending. It is not an invitation to the inner halls. Tickets are machine-issued during open hours. There is no 9.30 foreigner window.

Public visiting hours are 5.30am-8.00pm. Evening theva is 6.30-8.00. At 9.30 you are not going in. Bells after a Perahera can be closing / leftover ritual inside a closed precinct. Walk away. Do not join a knot at the gate.

We followed bells last night and hit a closed door and a policeman. Hotel was the correct next act.
