We are at Bentota in leftover-rain humidity. Beach clothes. Stall has thin prints. Kid wants to go in. I do not want to make the doorway a fitting room. Monday 31 Aug. Ordinary bags. Last-bit after dark, pin the main road. Cannot tell if this is ordinary or a tired mistake. Locals, please contradict the group chat.

A proper wrap, not a see-through scarf. If the stall only has thin prints, skip or buy two layers. Shoulders and knees. Do not make the Bentota doorway a fitting room. Skip is polite. Inside is not the street. Camera bag at the shoe counter is your problem, not theirs. I will not invent a photography fee. Street is mixed. Be small.

We took the quieter fork at Bentota. Fine. No one clapped.

Prepaid pin if the clock is real. Not the first cousin.

Leave with a buffer. Desk stories are stories. Walk the last cones.
