Map looks tempting. Elder has a look. Overnight to Jaffna is already booked for tomorrow night. 23 Aug heat. Not trying to collect a baobab for sport.

Rest if Jaffna is already the night bus. Mannar is a long hop for a tree and a causeway. I will not invent a 23 Aug ferry timetable. If you have two spare days, go. One spare day with an elder is how you arrive at the bus already fried.

We sat Anuradhapura shade, skipped Mannar. Fine. Jaffna had enough horizon.
