Matara bus versus the coastal train after Maggona bridge work started — will the coast actually dump us

We need Matara. News said Kalutara–Maggona double-bridge work started yesterday. Partner is panicking that the whole coast is dead. I will not invent a shutdown. Ordinary bags.

Bridge work at Maggona is construction, not 'coastal line cancelled'. Ask the Matara or Galle board. Bus is the honest backup on a Monday, not a drama. Do not invent extra closures from one work site.

We took the bus. Slow, seated, fine. Group chat had the entire SW dead by breakfast.

If your train is listed, sit it. Work sites have been on that coast for years of ordinary delays.
