Matara to Galle CTB bus already standing-room with two big backpacks — wait for the next or stuff in anyway?

Short Matara–Galle hops run frequent; standing is common for locals with small bags. Two large backpacks in a packed doorway are awkward and unsafe if the bus brakes hard. If the conductor still has space near the front and you can keep packs under control without blocking the exit, you can ride — hold a rail, bags between your legs or on your feet, wallets deep. If the door is already a wall of people, wait for the next bus or take a van/PickMe for that segment. Pride is cheaper than a smashed laptop.
