Met says rainfall above 75mm is possible in Kandy today, and Day Perahera is outdoors at 2:18. Carry a thin poncho, or travel light and duck under a shop if it hits.

Carry the thin poncho. Day is open curb time. A packable one weighs nothing and beats a soaked modest layer. Do not invent a cancelled Day from a forecast alone.

If bags are already maxed, one shared poncho for the kid is the minimum. Adults can duck a shop edge.
