Skipping the early Monday train. How bad are Monday morning intercity bus queues after a late First Randoli, and how early should we be for Colombo.

Expect slower queues than a normal Monday if half the town slept late. Arrive earlier than your usual bus margin, keep tickets or app ready, and do not plan a tight CMB connection off the first bus you see.

Pre-stage luggage at the hotel desk the night before so Monday morning is not a bag fight plus a queue.

Top up data Sunday afternoon so Monday maps and bus apps still work if the station Wi-Fi is useless.
