Monday morning train toward Colombo looks crowded after the parade weekend. Is a standing ticket sane after a short sleep, or should we wait for a later seat. Not early Kandy-Colombo train still realistic, and not Grab to station surge threads.

Standing is doable for tough travelers with light bags; after a short night, paid reserved seats or a later departure are kinder. Do not count on empty aisles the morning after Randoli nights.
