Latch was 'cute'. Biscuit bag on the table. They were polite enough to leave the passports. Host shrugged.

Close up. This is a Fort Tuesday. Latches that look colonial are not locks. Food on a balcony is a buffet. Nothing is 'theirs to take' as a story you tell later — put food inside. Host shrugging is experience, not rudeness.

We closed up, moved snacks in. Fine. They came back once and left.

We took the quieter fork on this: Monkeys opened the Fort balcony latch while we were at breakfast. Fine. No one clapped.

Write the board. A leftover-rain rumour around 'Monkeys opened the Fort balcony latch while we were at breakfast' is not a timetable.

Elder move: plate, fan, then decide. Monkeys opened the Fort balcony latch while we were at breakfast will still be there if it matters.
