Mosquito coil smoke in the room set off my allergy — open everything or ask them to stop using it?
Ella guesthouse lit a coil under the bed area after dusk. Smoke filled the room; my throat tightened and eyes watered. I need bite protection but cannot do incense-like coils. Nets look okay. Do hosts usually switch to spray or cream if you explain, or should we just move rooms?

Say clearly that coil smoke triggers allergy and ask for net + repellent cream or a plug-in they already use elsewhere — most hosts will stop the coil in your room once they understand. Air the room, shower if ash settled, and move rooms if smoke keeps drifting from a corridor. Dengue precautions still matter; smoke intolerance is not you being difficult. I will not invent brand names as gospel.
Host put out the coil, checked the net tuck, loaned cream. Sleepable after a fan blow-out.
