Emerging but niche. Sri Lanka has hundreds of mushroom species including edible ones (varieties of oyster mushrooms, some boletes). Guided foraging: contact Sri Lanka Mycological Society (small enthusiast community), or specialized eco-tour operators in Sinharaja area.

Warning: SEVERAL Sri Lankan mushrooms are deadly (Amanita species). Never eat wild mushrooms without expert ID. Foraging tours focus on education and photography, not eating. Best months: wet season (April-Sept). Bring: basket (not plastic — spore dispersal), camera, notebook.
