In towns with Muslim communities — east coast belt, parts of Colombo already behind you, some hill and south pockets — look for Muslim-owned rice-and-curry shops and grills; ask simply for halal and whether the kitchen is separate from non-halal meat. Hotel kitchens can accommodate on request, but dedicated shops are clearer when you find them. Apps and hotel desks sometimes keep a short list. I will not invent a nationwide directory.
