Nallur this mid-August: festival leftover or an ordinary kovil morning — I will not invent a date

I am not looking for an official calendar and I will not guess when Nallur 2026 peaked. We are here mid-August. Has anyone walking Nallur this week seen festival leftover crowds, or is it an ordinary kovil morning with cover and a quiet courtyard?

Treat it as an ordinary kovil morning unless the street itself is obviously in festival mode. Nallur often sits in the July-August window; that is not a date I will invent for you. Cover shoulders and knees, shoes off, no inner-sanctum photos. If drums and a crowd are already on the road, you will know. If not, walk quietly and do not ask a priest to confirm a tourist timetable.

We walked a quiet courtyard this week. Cover was enough. No one handed us a festival map.

If you need a festival, you already missed guessing. Sit the ordinary morning. Fine.

Do not quote a start date from a blog. The street is the only honest notice.
