Nanu Oya taxi rank after the hill train - share a van into Nuwara or eat a private-car quote
We get off at Nanu Oya with ordinary bags. The rank is already quoting a private car into Nuwara Eliya as if that is the only product. Is a shared van still a lived option, or did that die and we should just pay.

Shared van is still the ordinary hop. Private car is a product they offer because bags look foreign, not because the van vanished. Ask for a share, wait until it fills, write the number before anything goes in the boot. If you are three with big bags a private quote can be fair. One couple with daypacks should not eat it.
We shared. Filled in ten minutes. Fine. The first number they said was the private one; we asked again.
If an elder cannot wait, pay the private and stop treating it as a moral test.
