FAQ rabbit hole at 10.40: Nanumura Mangallaya every Wednesday 9.30 AM, herbal preparation, healing. If we skip Saturday and come back for Grand Thursday 6.43, we are in town Wednesday morning anyway (4th Randoli is that night at 6.44). Is Wednesday 9.30 a traveler morning worth planning from a Friday room, or a local ritual we will be in the way of.

Published: Nanumura every Wednesday 9.30 AM. It is a scheduled ritual, not a Perahera night. Foreigner ticket still the machine (3,000 / 2,500). You will be in a working temple, not on a kerb. Dress, no shorts, no flash. I cannot swear how crowded 26 Aug 2026 (Perahera Wednesday) is compared to a random Wednesday - expect more people, not a private blessing.
If you are already in town for Wednesday night 6:44, 9.30 is a morning that is not the gardens in 50 km/h gusts. It is not a reason to add three nights. Diyawadana Nilame office hours are also Wednesday if someone in your group actually needs that - appointment through admin +94 812204867, not a 10.40 walk-in.
