Official existing tuk fare is Rs. 110 for the first kilometre and Rs. 90 each extra. Roadside quotes often sit around Rs. 110-120 because the NTC draft is with the Ministry and is not law. The association is holding fares despite the 15-rupee 92 cut. Western Province RPTA cannot implement a revision. In Mount Lavinia, ask once for the meter, then lock a number. A 15-rupee pump cut is not a tuk coupon.
