Need blister plasters before the next trek — which brands do town pharmacies actually stock?

Got a hot spot on the heel from temple stairs, not a waterfall push-on debate we already read. Want proper blister plasters before tomorrow hill walk. Small town pharmacy shelves look mixed. What do travelers ask for — hydrocolloid blister plaster, a brand name, or just paper tape — and do pharmacies generally have something that works?

Ask for blister plaster or hydrocolloid plaster — many pharmacies stock a Compeed-style pack or a local equivalent, plus ordinary medical tape. Show the heel if language is thin. Paper tape and a clean pad still help if the fancy pack is sold out. I will not invent a plaster price as gospel. Buy before the trek, not halfway up. Cover the hot spot early so it does not open on the path.

Asked for blister plaster or Compeed. Got a hydrocolloid pack same shelf as bandages.

Grabbed paper tape as backup when only two fancy plasters were left.
